Dear Friends,

Lent is right around the corner! The Lenten Book Study this year promises to be a magnificent learning and faith building experience. Our book the study is Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist: Unlocking the Secrets of the Last Supper; author Brant Pitre, Ph. D. with the preface written by Scott Hahn, Ph. D. Classes will be held each Sunday and Wednesday for the six weeks of Lent beginning on Sunday, March 10th at 11:45 AM and Wednesday, March 13th at 7 PM (ending on April 14th & 17th). You may attend either class or both classes each week. Classes will meet in the St. Joseph School cafeteria.

There are three registration options:
1) The St. Joseph Parish website; 2) E-mail me at [email protected]; 3) Call me at (812) 343-1749 (leave a message). Please, indicate whether you plan to attend the Wednesday or Sunday class. The book can be purchased on the Internet via any of the following websites: www.catholiccompany.com; www.stpaulcenter.com; www.christianbook.com; www.amazon.com; www.barnesandnoble.com.

Books will, also, be available for sale in the coming weeks after Masses and/or at the St. Joseph Parish office. The study guide is included in the book. If you want to purchase a book but do not have Internet access, indicate that when you register by phone. You will be assisted with ordering the book.

If you cannot commit to attending the study classes, you are welcome and encouraged to purchase the book to study on your own, as a family or as an independent study group.

In advance of the first class, please, read the Introduction, Chapters 1 and 2 and prepare your answers to the questions for each of those sections in the study guide (in the back of the book).
