Confirmation Program at St. Joseph

Here at St. Joseph’s, preparation for Confirmation has traditionally been done during a student’s sophomore year, with the Confirmation Mass itself taking place in September or October of their junior year.  Upon consultation with the diocese, catechists, parents, and pastor, the decision has been made to have our students do their preparation for confirmation during their freshman year, receiving the sacrament during the Fall date (given to us by the diocese) of their sophomore year.

This will mean that this year (2017/18), both incoming freshmen and sophomores are eligible for Confirmation preparation.  We are also happy to include any other high schooler (e.g., juniors and seniors) who would like to sacrament but did not receive it before.  All will be confirmed together in the Fall.  It will be a big class.
